How to go to Eden Park Davao

Going to Eden, we rented a taxi to take us on a tour the whole day. Some of Davao’s tourist spots are far from each other so we opted to make a contract with the taxi driver we took on the airport. In my opinion its better that way, so transpo’s will not be a worry when traveling there.

What to See – Tourist Spots in Davao

Eden park is actually a nature park that’s situated on a hill in Davao city. We were actually told that this is the foot of Mount Apo, but I cant tell. It is privately owned and developed by some rich family in Davao. It’s also called as little Baguio of Davao. Because of it’s location, the temperature at Eden is quite cold.

Going up at Eden, there’s a gate before the main office/lobby of Eden where you can buy the ticket for their tours. At the entrance, is another 10 min drive going up. We took the day tour, Snack package, which consists of a guided tour to the whole park, and a sandwhich, chicharon and juice as the snack. I think it’s cost around 250 pesos. We split this snack to us five in the tour. (including our driver Ruben).

Things to do in Eden Park Davao

The tour we took started at around 12 noon, and we waited for other people that we’re gonna take the tour with us. The waiting’s not that long, so we head on to start the tour, which is actually a vehicle-tour. Eden sits on a mountain, and a walking tour would be really exhausting.

One of the flowers at Eden park Garden

The tour of the place is more of an ‘agricultural’ tour, the place had some interesting plants and flowers around. On the tour, there would be stops so people can take pictures of the area, or often times, get a chance to pick plants around the farms. The tour takes about 45 to 1 hour, depending on how ‘makulit’ your co-tourists are. In our case, we’re the ones that’s always taking too long during tour stops. hehe.

The destination at the end of the tour is the canteen of Eden park. This is where they’d give you your food. They serve the food in buffets, which we didnt avail since we’re budget tourists. So instead of having lunch, we did this.

This activity is absolutely free and absolutely fun. :)

Tips and Traps

On this tour we saved some amount of money, by not taking the buffet lunch, before going to Eden we ate lunch at Jollibee, fed our driver too, and by the time we came to Eden, all we need is a little snack. :)
