Expect to get wet, 'L' cleverly dries her wet short in our bangka in Pangasinan

Our second day plan, was to backpack going to Hundred Islands. We checked out of Bing’s, bought our pasalubongs(souvenirs), just kakanins, bagoong at patis, located near Bolinao church.

Getting There – How  to go to Hundred Islands

Mang Larry took us to the mini bus station going to Alaminos. The trip from Bolinao going to Alaminos is about one hour. Once at Alaminos, we took a tricycle to bring us to Lucap port, where most tour boats are located. From there you can find boats that can tour you on the hundred islands’ islands.

The islands of Hundred Islands

Hundred islands National park in Pangasinan obtained it’s name because there is literally over 100 islands in the area. 124 at high tides, and 123 on low tides to be exact. Not all islands are open to tourists though.

What to See

During this part of our tour, we were unfortunate with our boat man. He’s an ahole, I forgot why, but he is. Our total fee from him was P1300 and a headache. He took us to the common spots: Governor’s Island, Quezon Island, Children’s Island plus a few other islands, tourists are not supposed to get near.

There are resorts and recreation-tool rentals available at Quezon island. This is the only island we got to snorkel around.

On governors island, we climbed up the tallest peak and got this spectacular view:

Souvenirs in Pangasinan

Condiments are what’s famous in Pangasinan, like salt, patis, etc. It’s name is actually derived from ‘salt’(asin), thus pang-asin-an. So the best souvenir to take from there are salt, patis(fish sauce), and bagoong.

how much did you pay to snorkel at quezon island?

is there an overnight place in one of the islands???

    • aine says:

if i may help u in anyway, i wud like to share.. if u want to snorkel,u have to pay for the boat that will tour you to more than the usual 3 islands. that will cost you for an overnyt rate so if u plan to stay for a night in one of the islands, either in the quezon or governor’s, that would be well worth it. the boat rate will depend on the no. of peops :) u are with..
