Sunset at Sunset Boulevard in Dipolog

3D1Q.XOXO

Kathangisip travel blog will never came to be if not for our tour group, and super friends: 3D1Q. A lame ass name we concucted for our little gang, after our very successful trip to Davao. This coming June 21st is the anniversary of our group. Kampay!!!!

3D1Q means Three Devs and 1 QA. We all work in the IT industry, and three of us in the group are all java developer: me(japanesecake), catnap(J), and L. And of course, we have the outcast QA analyst, Xty. haha.

It was in Davao, where the formal officiation of our little group happened. We had so much fun there, that this year… we are planning to go back and re-trace our travel foot prints in the area. Davao was our icing-on-top when it comes to our tours. We cant help but compare it to the other trips that we have, and so far, none can replace it in our hearts, lol.

We believe that we are the perfect combination when it comes to touring. Four different people, with four different personalities united as one, though  I must admit we have fights, but rarely. And the fact that none of us is argumentative makes it easier for us to get along, and we all know how to share and take turns, like the fact that I always get the single bed…Well it’s not because they give it to me…Super likot lang akong matulog hahaha, they dont want to sleep with me.

I’m really impressed with our team work. Each has a different skill set, that we make us during our travels. We’re sort of a league of heroes and each one has a unique power that is bound to defeat the villains. Here are our super special powers :D

L – the palengke Queen

L is our ‘palengke’ (market) queen, she’s always in charge when it comes to pasalubong(souvenir) buying. She’s very good with picking the right fruit and foods to take home. She might as well be Mar Roxas better half than Korina Sanchez! haha.

She’s also the scare-dy cat of our team. She’d literally have cold feet and hands when we’re about to do something dangerous (and stupid), and her voice changes from jolly to really scared, which makes it fun for me and J to scare her more..haha.

J a.k.a Catnap – the quarrelsome leader

J is the captain of our group, she’s the unofficially elected leader. She takes care of our itinerary and the money. I think she’s also the leader because she picks fight with random people during our trip, for a reasonable cause of course, haha.

J is also the bravest of us all, except when it comes to water. She’s in charge of the animal stuff, meaning holding animals, picking up animals, all that.

C a.k.a Xty – the accident-prone

if J is the captain, then C is the co-captain, she contributes on creating our itinerary. If there’s something that messed up our itinerary, it’s usually C who has the bright idea what to do next.

She’s also the accident-prone one in our group, I dont think she’s clumsy though, she just gets injured most of the time, haha. She was the lucky one to burn her legs during one of our habal-habal rides and also the only one who got tons of wounds when we went spelunking in Dipolog.

T aka japanesecake the jynxed traveller

(Correct me if Im wrong, haha) I dont do anything for our team, I just ride along. I guess I’m the bottleneck but very fun member of the group.  I’m the sickly one. With ALL our trips, I got sick. From diarrhea to flu to migraine, but I keep my game-face on despite this.

I’m in-charge of the pictures and the tripod, alila lang ako dito. haha. I’m also the next brave person in our group, I always get the first-try on every activity we do.

I cant describe which of us is fun and funny, because we all are. It’s a great experience touring with this three gals, we all adapt to each others bad and good sides… like for me, I don’t like being around many people, and they try to think of ways not to be in that situation. For Xty, she doesnt like the sun, so we give an ample time for each other to vigorously apply sunblock. Thanks to Xty though, we are now officially sunblock addicts. For J, she throws little tantrums during the trip, but we all know that’s just temporary, so we keep moving forward. And for L…well she’s super perfect, she doesn’t have a bad side.

Here are the highlights of our tour in Davao
