How to go to La Mesa Eco Park

From EDSA, ride a Bus going to Fairview, tell the driver to get you off at Eastwood Fairview Village. In our case our driver didn’t know where that is, so here are the sequence of landmarks you should watch out for:

a. Ever commonwealth
b. Sandiganbayan
c. Mercury Drug
d. Fairview Market

Once you pass Fairview market, just a few more meters away, on the right is Eastwood Fairview Village. The gate of the Village is in this mini street, it’s not really seen well from the main road, so watch out. In there are green tricycles that could take you in to La Mesa Eco park.

What to See – Sights in Fairview, Quezon City

La Mesa is a park that surrounds the La Mesa Dam where Metro Manila gets their water from. Coming from the entrance, the first thing visitors would lay their eyes on are lush green trees and plants decorating the path way to the main park.

Inside are picnic areas for families that visit the place. You’ll also pass by a swimming pool which kids would definitely enjoy. There is an entrance fee to the swimming pool though.

In the heart of the nature park, is a lagoon, where visitors are allowed to go fishing. People can rent for fishing rods in the area.

Walking further from the lagoon is a stairway garden, where different plants decorate each steps of the stairway, and at the top is the La Mesa dam itself. Only authorized personnel are allowed to enter the Dam’s premises.

There’s also a butterfly sanctuary where there is the biggest moth I have ever seen in my life.

Very conducive to relaxation talaga ang La Mesa Ecopark. The location itself is a surprise, who could have thought it’s in the heart of a city.

I’ve been there a couple of times, mostly because of tapings. You can check out my site for more stories and pics din of this lovely park :)

hi I just want to ask if open po kayo this holy week particularly Holy Thursday & Good Friday? How much is the entrance fee for swimming?

La Mesa Eco Park is ok. You would enjoy it unless you have to deal directly with their staff (particularly the “first aid lady” and the “guys at the zip line”). The lady was not helping my friend feel relaxed at all when she had to give her first aid treatment for her foot which was injured when she fell off one of the horses in the park. Instead of making her feel that it was just a simple bruise & she need not worry, she scared her more by telling her “to make a deep breath” so she can “PULL THE SKIN off her toe”. In the end, she just had to cut it, which was a lot better than pulling off the skin. On the other hand, two of the zip line crew (which are all male) were just plain “bastos” (disrespectful). They didn’t know how to treat their customers right and acted as if they didn’t care at all whether you enjoy the activity or not, as long as they enjoy themselves embarrassing you in front of other people. They won’t stop saying things that sometimes didn’t even matter to the topic on hand. My bf tried to tell the first guy what he did wrong but he became defensive and he told my bf that it was just a joke (same thing I was told). They, or rather HE (coz the other one just disappeared from my sight) only apologized after my bf told him that we have a video of what really happened. IF I WERE THEIR BOSS, I’LL EITHER GET THEM RE-TRAINED OR JUST FIRE THEM IMMEDIATELY. NOT GOOD FRONT LINERS FOR A BUSINESS.
