How to go to Hagimit Falls
From the port pier at Samal Island, we hired two habal habal drivers to take us on a tour. Cost of each driver is around P300.
What to See
(For the complete itinerary of our tour in Davao, see this link: Davao itinerary)
From the main road, Hagimit falls would take around 15-20 minutes to arrive there. The road is pretty rough, so habal-habal is the recommended transportation to go there.
There is a gate at the entrance to Hagimit falls, where an entrance of P30 is required. From the gate, you have to walk to get inside the compound of Hagimit falls. We passed by a group of kids who had just finished doing laundry at Hagimit’s stream.
We made Hagimit as our rest-stop, after visiting 2 other spots. It was lunch time then, and we want to make use of our time efficiently. Good thing there are street foods available in Hagimit. There was a make-shift store their which sells rice and ulam, including softdrinks and snacks.
What we bought there was the yummy barbecued banana, covered in margarine and sugar. This was the first time I ate this food, genius! hehe.
After that, we set up our sarong, and had a little picnic at Hagimit. We gave Wacky and the other guy (our Habal-habal drivers) the same food we ate: A softdrink, one barbecued banana and chicken sandwich, that is our lunch
.

Lunch at Hagimit Falls, Budget tourist style!
