White Water Rafting, was our last activity on our 4 Days, 3 nights tour in Davao. Prior to the trip, we have already reserved with Davao’s WWR, and luckily for us, we were the only group to do the activity that day.
How to go there
Since this was our last day in Davao, we carried our stuff (including pasalubong), and took a taxi to take us to Davao Crocodile park where the white water rafting facility can be found.
White water rafting in Davao
Tuesday, we arrived at the Davao’s white water rafting office. We were a bit early, which we intended, so we can shower ourselves with sunblock, lol.
Since this is a whole day activity and there are no shades to protect you, expect your skin to get dark, real dark. Actually I don’t recommend wearing short-shorts in this activity. After this, my skin tone was different in all places.
The crew arrived in a jeepney with the rafts strapped on top of the vehicle. We then went inside the office, and applied more sunblock lol.
White water rafting, or as some people like me, likes to call it ‘Wild Water Rafting’ in Davao, starts with a video lecture of what we were about to get ourselves into. After which, Jimmy a.k.a. But really I felt so secured with the gears that I always volunteer to take the first try on the activity.
We then road the jeepney to go to the starting point of the rafting, which is about 45 minutes away from wwr’s office. From there, another lecture was held on ground. We were taught how to…
a.) hold a paddle
b.) sit on the raft…
c.) pick up a fallen team mate.
d.) defensive swimming…
And many other things you should know about before heading on the waters.
After the lecture, we then, went to the application part…
