Largo de Senado, Senado square tourist spots

There are tons of things to see in Senado Square. I believe it’s the center of all activities in Macau.

How to go there

This post is part of our tour in Macau. For our detailed itinerary there, checkout this link: Macau Itinerary

For Jeff and I’s walking tour. We came from Dom Pedro V Theater, and headed here. Took us about 20 minutes walk to get to Senado Square.

What to See

The first spot we passed by in Senado Square was Largo de Senado or Leal Senado. The picture above is our only descent picture of the place, as we were so excited to get to the square itself. Senado square is just in front of Leal Senado.

The center of Senado Square is where the fountain is located. The fountain actually made the planning of our itinerary easier, cause I was able to gauge the distance of each spots through google maps :)

Jeff and I came in Macau last January 2, and when we arrived there, the city was still decorated with Christmas and new year decors.

In front of the fountain, the next tourist spot we spotted was Macau’s Tourism office.

On the other side, you’ll be able to see another spot, the Holy House of Mercy building…

During our flight to Macau, Jeff and I went with this actor which I dont know the name. We spotted him again at a tiangge beside the tourism office of Macau. Ever since I’ve been trying to figure out what show have I seen him, until I saw the frenzy con doms ads on the tv. It was kinda dissapointing we didn’t took pictures with him, since he sat beside me on the waiting area in the airport. Who wouldn’t want a picture with a guy who endorses con doms? Safe se x everyone! hahaha

And so we continued our tour in Senado Square, a few walks away from the fountain, we were able to spot Saint Dominic’s church, the place was filled with tourists. All of them blocking each others shots. Jeff and I decided to take pictures from afar.

From Saint Dominics, we head on to the Cathedral, in Cathedral Square. You have to pass by an alley to get to Cathedral Square as it’s not part of the whole Senado square walkway. This is also where Jeff and I took a break, from that exhausting walking tour.
