How to go there

This post is part of our tour in Macau. For the detailed trip there, check out this link here: Macau Itinerary.

From Senado Square walk way, there’s an alley to get to Lou Kau Mansion. Address is No. 7, Travessa da Sé.

What to See

At the entrance, there are tour guides that would give you brochures containing architectural and historical information of the house.

We first started to roam around the ground floor of Lou Kau. The mansion is a mixture of western and eastern type of   architecture. Each feature of the house is decorated including the tiles of the floor, which I think is western-inspired…

Used as a divider, the house is also decorated with an impressive wood works design…

There are paintings and pictures around the mansion that depicts what Lou Kau was before. It was sort-of a theater back in the day, where orchestra’s and musicians performs at the mansion.

Entrance to the second floor of the house are regulated. Lou Kau is really old that it’s foundation had become weak. Certain number of people are allowed to enter at a time.

On the second floor, you’ll be able to see the still-preserved colored windows of the mansion, plus a few other rooms in the house.
