How to go there
From Saint Lawrence, Jeff and I walked further following the street signs pointing to Sir Robert Ho Tung library.
This post is part of our trip in Macau. View here for the complete itinerary in Macau : Macau itinerary
What to See
From outside, the library is unnoticeable. There is no visible building sign to identify it. It’s a good thing I added the colors of the building of the tourist spots we are going to, I was able to locate it.
Jeff and I first took pictures at the front of the library where a grotto is located. There was a guard guarding the entrance of Sir Robert Ho Tung, whom we thought was Chinese, until he talked to Jeff and said ‘Pwede pumasok‘. Ayos! Pinoy yung guard. Actually most guards in Macau are Filipinos, there must be a great demand of security guards there.
We asked him what other places, and restaurants we can check out in the area, only to find out he hasn’t been there long, and of course he’s there for work, and not to tour.
And so we proceeded inside, Manong guard said we can roam anywhere inside the library.
At the entrance, is this cute old-style windows and foundations of the building…
Inside, Jeff and I took pictures of each other. The windows of the library are super cute. Green windows in a yellow building? I feel like I’m in a doll house
.
There are also parts of the library that are sheer glass, you can see the insides of the library.
A garden located at the top of the building is available for people who prefer to read outside.
