Bohol Bee Farm Menu

How to go there

My boyfriend and I rent a van to take us to the tourist spots of Bohol. This was one of our deals with our driver, Kuya Lito.

What to eat

At the end of the day, Jeff and I were super tired and super hungry. Chocolate Hills was our last tourist spot of the day so we went back to Panglao Island from the town of Carmen to have dinner at Bohol Bee Farm.

The restaurant at Bee Farm is famous for it’s unique food and of course honey-filled dishes.

After picking a seat near the sink area, We were given the restaurant’s menu (above), which is a handicraft folder embroidered with the words ‘Bohol Bee Farm’, made by the Bee Farm’s crew.

After a few seconds the waitress came back to give us an appetizer, which is a pair of loaf bread and three different spreads: mango, pesto and honey spreads. The spreads were so delicious, I actually talked with a friend who also had experienced eating there, and it was the spread that we talked about the whole time. Stupid me forgot to buy one at the bee farm store when we left, oh the regret.

Appetizer at Bohol Bee Farm

After finishing our scrumptious appetizer, the bee farm crew were on perfect timing to give us our main order. We both took a combo meal consisting of a main dish, organic rice and organic salad. Jeff’s main dish was spare ribs while I had the glazed chicken. Again, both dishes were super delicious! but the glazed chicken was the best, in fact Jeff liked my order more than his. :)

Our complete meal at the Bee Farm.

Aside from the main dish, we also tried the Bee farm’s famous organic salad. It’s a unique salad, because aside from the greens, they also put in flowers in them. Kuya Lito told us his first time eating the flowers, he said he was so disgusted at first, but finally gave in to the salad’s good taste. I guess he was prepping us in eating the unique salad.

The flowers in the salad are actually just ampalaya flowers, boungenvilla flowers, and this other blue flower I can’t recognize. It is actually the dressing of the salad that made the flowers taste better than expected. Ahhh, the dressing is also one of the things I forgot to buy as souvenir. :(

For our drinks, I took the carrot (mixed with other fruits) shake and Jeff was choco-banana shake. And for desert, we ordered an ice cream as recommended by Kuya Lito. We got three scoops of Langka ice cream that night. :)
