After several visits to Baguio. This year’s Panagbenga Festival would be my first ever experience of the event. It’s a month long activity that started last February 1 and will continue until March 7.
There are special events daily for the duration of the festival, but me, my boyfriend and three other friends went there for the float parade and street dance.
Instead of watching the street performance from the streets, we went straight to Baguio athletic bowl, where the street dancers were judged.
The street dance judging was categorized from elementary, high school, college, and open division.
Colorful wings, flowers and costumes was one of the common costume used by the elementary division contestants.
while the high school and college division was more on visual effects.
Some also featured fairy-like stories to their presentation.
There was also always a beautiful girl in the middle that gets lifted during the performance..hehe.
