After this school year, I promised my little sister that I take her swimming some time, and with that of course I have to bring the rest of the family. Good thing there’s always the nearby town of Cavite that has “ok” resorts to pick from. This time we went to Volets resort which is just less than an hour drive from Manila.
At a rate of 200 pesos per head (on weekends), this resort features numerous adult slides, the highest is three stories high. It was being fixed when we arrived, so we settled for the less scarier two-story high slide. It’s quite scary, there weren’t as much guys and gals trying it out, except for us.

While Jeff and I were on chaperon duty with my lil sis, and her friend. My older sister and her 1-year old daughter soaked it out on the kiddie pool, which has several adequately leveled slides, as well as a see-saw in the middle of the pool

At around 10, 11 am. The resort would open up their wave pool, which is also turned off from time to time.

- The resort officially opens at 8 am. The counter wont open till then.
- Cottages ranges from 250, 700, and 1000+ are separately paid from the entrance fee.

THE RATES ARE UNREASONABLY EXPENSIVE!!! WE RENTED A FAMILY SUITE WITH 2 BEDROOMS GOOD FOR 8 PERSONS AT 7.5 K AND AN ECONO ROOM GOOD FOR 4 AT 1.8 EXCLUSIVE OF THE OVERNIGHT ENTRANCE FEE OF 180PHP UNTIL 4 AM, WHICH BY THE WAY WE DIDN’T EVEN USE BECAUSE IT WAS TOO COLD AND THE GATES TO THE POOL IS SO INCONVENIENTLY FAR FROM OUR ROOM!!!)AND IF YOU GO SWIMMING AFTER 4 AM YOU HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL 170PHP EVEN IF YOU WILL JUST BE STAYING THERE UNTIL 12NOON WHICH IS THE CHECK OUT TIME FOR THEIR HOTEL…AND THEIR REASON IS… RULES ARE RULES!!!! MOREOVER…THAT 180 RATE FOR SWIMMING IS JUST FOR THE POOLS AT THE SIDE OF THE HOTEL WHICH IS NOT EVEN HALF OF THE ENTIRE RESORT’S FACILITY BECAUSE THE MAIN POOLS ARE CLOSED AT MIDNIGHT. SO YOU GET TO ENJOY JUST HALF OF THE RESORT AT A FULL PRICE OF 180 WHICH STRICTLY FOLLOWS THEIR BULLSHIT 4AM RULE NOT EVEN CONSIDERING THAT WE PAID THEIR SKY HIGH ROOM RATES!!!!THIS WAS THE WORST BDAY CELEBRATION I HAD AT THE WORST RESORT HOTEL IN THE PLANET!!AND TO MAKE IT WORSE…THEIR PERSONNELS EXEMPLIFIED THE WORST CUST WMER SERVICE WITH VERY ILL-MANNERED PERSONNELS ESP AT THE FRONT DESK OF THE HOTEL …BTW I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND TERMINATION FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO WERE ON DUTY DURING OUR STAY ..(FEB 5-6,2011)!!!I WAS HYSTERICAL AT THE LOBBY TALKING TO THEM AND JUST REALIZED THAT I WAS TALKING TO THE LITERAL FRONT DESK…WITHOUT THE PERSONNEL BECAUSE THEY ALL WALKED OUT ON ME!!! ONE MORE THING ..WHAT MADE ME HYSTERICAL WAS BECAUSE WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO SIT…YES!!!! JUST SIT AT THE UMBRELLA WORTH 300 THEY SAID THEY WAIVED SINCE WE PAID 170 EACH FOR THE KIDS WHO STILL WANTED TO GO SWIMMING BECAUSE AS IVE MENTIONED…THE MAIN POOLS CLOSED AT 12MN AND OBVIOUSLY THE ENTRANCE WE PAID FOR THE OVERNIGHT SWIMMING WAS FOR JUST THE FEW POOLS THAT ARE OPEN AND ONLY UP TO 4AM AND THE KIDS OFCOURSE ARE ALREADY TIRED AND SLEEPING DURING THAT TIME!!! AND SINCE THOSE KIDS ARE STILL SWIMMING AND ALL OTHERS JUST WANTED TO SIT AND WAIT FOR THE KIDS TO FINISH …THE INCONSIDERATE STAFF DID NOT ALLOW US TO ENTER STATING THAT WE DID NOT PAY THE ENTRANCE …MY POINT IS….WE ARE NOT GOING TO USE THE FACILITIES…AND US JUST MERELY SITING THERE WILL NOT IN ANY WAY AFFECT THE RESORTS REVENUE AS WE WILL ALL JUST BE STAYING AT THAT 300 WORTH UMBRELLA THEY ARE BRAGGING THAT THEY WAIVED!!!! WHAT I WAS JUST ASKING WAS THEM TO CONSIDER THAT WE HAVE PAID THEIR VERY EXPENSIVE ROOM RATES AND THEY SHOULD HAVE ATLEAST BE COURTEOUS ENOUGH TO ALLOW US TO JUST ENTER THE FACILITY AND WAIT FOR THE KIDS TO FINISH AND ATLEAST SINCE IT WAS A BDAY CELEBRATION ..WE ALL WOULD LIKE TO ATLEAST CHIT CHAT WHILE WAITING…ANYWAY WE WILL JUST BE USING THAT SO CALLED WAIVED UMBRELLA WORTH 300PHP!!!IT WAS SUCH A WASTE OF ALMOST 15K FOR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LOUSY RESORT POLICY!!! I HOPE MANAGEMENT WILL TRY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS COZ UNTIL NOW I AM SO PISSED OFF AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I WILL DEFINITELY TELL ALL MY FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES AND EVERYONE I KNOW AND WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS RESORT TO ANYONE!!!!
Very well said… This resort is only GOOD FOR DAY swimming. Night swimming is very expensive and the pool you will be using is the OLD VOLETS pools (i think my family exp these pools when i was in highschool 5-8 yrs ago).
I never thought you experienced a nightmare in a night-swimming… hehe

just last year
it was really a good experience that its only 200 per hear you can experience artificial wave for a very cheap entrance fee! this coming holy week me and my family
