On our MNL-DPL leg, our flight was delayed. Instead of leaving at 1045am, we managed to flew at around 1pm. Our original plan of eating at Dakak was spoiled. Instead, we eat at one of the food bars at NAIA terminal 3. There’s not much to do here so we just window-shop and fool around to kill those down time. It’s good that we planned touring Dakak on or first day, so we have plenty of spare time for mishaps like this. There were a lot of people complaining at the Cebpac crews... but hey,

Last Feb 19-25, 2009, 3 friends and I toured Dapitan, Dipolog, Siquijor and Dumaguete. When we reviewed our total expenses, the total, including the air fare from/to Manila just costs under P10K. To find out how we did these, read on. Preparation: After our trip in CDO last October, we immediately planned our next destination. Japanesecake saw Dumaguete in LivingAsia channel and thought that it might be a good place to tour. Since Dipolog is just under Dumaguete, and since Dakak is i

“Tinago” in Filipino literally means hidden. As the name implies, Tinago falls is concealed. Though standing at 240 ft, one cannot simply just look above the skies to perceive it. Instead, he needs to look down and descend at least 300 steps. So far in my Philippine travels, I found the Tinago falls the most serene and beautiful of all the waterfalls I’ve seen. I’ve been to Iligan’s Maria Cristina falls, Pagudpud’s Kabigan falls, Samal’s multi-tiered Hagimit falls, Camiguin

Once upon a time, somebody suggested visiting Pagsanjan falls. But going there was a bit tricky. So this someone suggested visiting the infamous Maria Cristina falls instead. During that time, I was not aware where it was located. And since I learned about it in some classroom lessons during elementary, it strikes me and I ended up researching about this waterfall. I learned that it is located in Iligan City, so going there would be harder than going to Pagsanjan which is just in Laguna. Jus

March 28, 2009 8:30-9:30 pm local time – it was supposed to be a time when we give our respect to our planet by turning off the lights for an hour. As I heard, the event was successful… or was it? The event was successful in a way. I believe majority of people participated and that’s good. We are becoming aware of how much our planet is suffering – most are caused by us. However, I would like to stress that Earth hour is not that successful. One of the methods used to promote this eve

First impression I have when I saw the sandbars --> ^@#$*@# -- this is not a curse word. It is an unknown word which means, simply indescribable. They are two natural attractions that are picturesque... a work of art... a work of God... hes. There are no inhabitants in the area as the locals say that it submerges completely during high tide. Marine life like starfishes, sea urchins and fishes surround the region where the mangroves are growing (the hollow part of the crescent moon-shape).
