littletokyo

Today was Jeff's birthday. Been thinking of strolling at Greenbelt and just try any restaurant there. Luckily a friend stumbled on little tokyo at Makati. We couldnt get a clear information on the food's price range at the place, so I thought, hey it's Jeff's bday anyways. Splurge we shall! g outside of the restaurant. It was a dinner date, so I'd figure dining outside would be great. Alternatively, I've seen some restaurants having private rooms as the dining area. It's not private-private,

I haven't realized how much this site has evolved from something that I'm just interested in, into an informative, very direct type of site. What I meant is, there's not much personal touch going on with this site of mine. As you can see, I rarely (not even) post pictures with me or my friends faces on it. I barely tell the 'experience' factor of all my travels. Instead I'm always thinking I'm a new visitor of the site, and I don't want to read about loads of crap how this person's trip went. I'

volets

After this school year, I promised my little sister that I take her swimming some time, and with that of course I have to bring the rest of the family. Good thing there's always the nearby town of Cavite that has "ok" resorts to pick from. This time we went to Volets resort which is just less than an hour drive from Manila. At a rate of 200 pesos per head (on weekends), this resort features numerous adult slides, the highest is three stories high. It was being fixed when we arrived, so we set

pasalubong-hunting

If you're going to visit Cebu, of course you have to take home their famous dried danggit as pasalubong. usually comes in different variants - they have the boneless danggit, which costs more than the regular ones. You can also choose between salted, and unsalted. In our case we got the boneless salted ones. Where to buy If you want to get these pasalubong at a reasonable price, it's best to go to Taboan Market in Cebu. There are lots of dried sea foods sellers in this area, you can haggl

casa-verde

Coming to Cebu, one of the food / resto we wanted to check out was Casa Verde, somewhere near the capitol area. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find it there. Luckily though, we find another branch of this restaurant at Ayala mall instead. Supposedly, the original branch is spanish-inspired but the one in Ayala mall had an American-inspired ambiance. There were lots of American pop-culture decorations inside the restaurant, and a few other miniature and toys. [caption id="" align="ali

parklane

After a day of staying at Seaview Pension, Jeff and I decided to transfer to a hotel in the city, closer to the malls and other spots are. We asked a taxi driver on his recommendation for a good, cheap hotel to stay in the city. He brought us to Parklane hotel, which is not quite cheap at all, but fortunately for us, they had a promo rate the day we came, and our actual hotel expense became P2800 from it's regular 4k price. The hotel is just walking distance from Ayala mall, and a few
