cnt-lechon

After our city tour at Cebu, it was now time to grab some dinner at CnT's restaurant, home of Cebu's famous lechon (roasted pig). How to go there From SM Cebu, exit at Mcdo,  accross the street is where you'll find CnT's restaurant. What to see Cebu's lechon was dubbed as the 'best pig in the world' by international chef Anthony Bourdain. We definitely had to add CnT's lechon as one of the must-try food we have to taste when we get to Cebu. From what I've heard, you dont need a sauce

Yey! Kathangisip.com is now on it's third theme. :) I was previously using the cuikai theme from wordpress, and now I've decided to built me my own theme for the site. I've added new functionalities that are specific to my travel site. Here are the hightlights of the new theme. First off, we have a brand new header design, which is a sort-of-collage of all the pictures I've taken from our travels. 47" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="footer"][/caption] If you clicked on the 'B

On February 28, 2010. Second day of our visit to the Panagbenga festival. Jeff and I were able to catch the float parade on the streets. The event started at 8 am, but by 9, the good spots were already taken, while some people started getting on parked cars, and vans so they can get a peek of the parade. We eventually found a good elevated spot, and thanks to Jeff's 20x zoom camera, we we're able to identify whoever was on the floats, which included celebrities like Jenny Miller, Karylle

street-dance

After several visits to Baguio. This year's Panagbenga Festival would be my first ever experience of the event. It's a month long activity that started last February 1 and will continue until March 7. There are special events daily for the duration of the festival, but me, my boyfriend and three other friends went there for the float parade and street dance. Instead of watching the street performance from the streets, we went straight to Baguio athletic bowl, where the street dancers

How to go there Magellan's cross is located beside the church of Basilica del sto nino. Passed the street in front of the church, to the right is where it's located. What to See Preparing for our itinerary, I was getting confused with Magellan's cross and Magellan's Shrine. The two are actually different places. I was warned by people who went their that the place smells like pee, but luckily my super smell didn't catch that foul odor. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="480"

fort-san-pedro

How to go there From our hotel in Mactan Island, we commuted to get to Basilica del Sto Nino. From there, we walked to Fort San Pedro which is just a block away from the church. What to See If Cebu has a sort-of Quiapo church version, they also have the intramuros version, through Fort San Pedro. These places are different in looks though. Again, it's very much like Manila. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="480" caption="Inside Fort San Pedro"][/caption] If you have time to

After Bohol, We took SuperCat's 10:30 am trip going back to Cebu. We had no plan on where to stay there, but we definitely want somewhere near Cebu Beach Club since we'll be doing the underwater sea walk in that resort. We asked our taxi driver if he could recommend us some resorts near there that are cheap, but he pretty much brought us to all the hotels in Cebu that are expensive. After a few more searches, a local recommended us the newly built Hotel Seaview Pension house. ooms also
