Since we needed to adjust our itinerary, we decided to visit Hangzhou this day. Le tour’s staff found that there were only 100 tickets for the earliest train for Shanghai-Hangzhou which was at 630am, so we decided to take a bus instead. We didn’t want to experience another frustrating day at the railway station again. We took the metro to Shanghai South Railway station. We had another long walk in the subway before we finally found the bus station. One unusual thing worth noting was tha

We arrived early that morning, but our call time was still 7am. I volunteered to wake up first. Our room doesn’t have any towels, and since I’m the first one to get up, I went down to ask. Before doing so I checked my itouch translator application and learned that jin ma was the mandarin for towel. With that, I was able to survive my first mandarin communication-gap.hehe. As planned, we went to Shanghai Railway Station to look for tickets. Anton and I queued up in line, while Xty looked

Last November 2009, we were able to book a MNL-PVG flight for 4 for only P905/pax. Since then, I was so excited since climbing the Great Wall is one of my biggest dreams. Months passed, Xty and I organized the best itinerary possible. We came up with this: Day 1: Night flight to Shanghai Day 2: Buy train tickets to Xi’an, tour Shanghai Day 3: Half-day tour in Shanghai, travel to Xi’an at night Day 4: Buy train tickets to Beijing, tour Xi’an, particularly the terracotta warriors. Here is our actual itinerary in Bohol, accomplished last August 20 to Aug 22 '09.  This was yet another boyfriend-girlfriend trip so I was kind of expecting it to be a bit pricey, but, I was relieved to find out that other people who had been there has spend more than us, and there were like 5 of them :) Bohol is an expensive place to visit anyways, so I feel like our itinerary here can be justified. Aside from the essential tour expenses, I also included tips, donations and food trips t

Here are the list of things we did in Dipolog, based on our actual itinerary. A day tour of Dipolog is enough to get you finished in touring the city. In our case, we waited until afternoon, to catch the sunset from Dipolog's Sunset Boulevard :). 1. Catch the sunset at Sunset Boulevard This seaside boulevard was named after it's beautiful sunset. 2. Visita iglesia at Dipolog cathedral Jose Rizal helped design the altar of this centennial church. 3. Spelunking at Libuton caves

We spent the morning in Siquijor, taking pictures and messing around the billiards and gym rooms of Dondeezco. We almost lost our tripod bag that morning, but managed to find it in time before we get into the van headed to Siquijor pier.  Transport to pier is free courtesy of Dondeezco. We travelled back to Dumaguete on board Delta Fast Ferries leaving at 12:30pm. We bought the tickets the day before so as not to risk our schedule and itinerary. When we docked at Dumaguete pier, we asked our t

Here is the updated itinerary of me and my boyfriend's trip to Macau last January 2009. Our arrival date there was January2, a high peak season for touring, so if you want to pattern your itinerary with ours. Do except a much cheaper version if traveling on low-peak season. All locations are divided in blocks, to determine how far each tourist spot is from each other. We were only able to accomplish about 80% of this itinerary. Flights and Fare to Macau from Manila Cebu Pacifi

How to go to Siquijor Because of our mishap the day before, we were forced to tour Siquijor on day 4. We bought the earliest ferry (Super Shuttle Ferry) scheduled to depart at 5am. Tickets cost 350/pax and the ride was approximately 4 hours. I’d say this was a typical RORO because it has room for land vehicles. When we arrived in Dumaguete Pier, we bought ferry tickets bound to Siquijor. Delta Fast ferry is fully booked so we settled for a GL Shipping Lines Ferry. We recommend Delta Fa

Last Feb 19-25, 2009, 3 friends and I toured Dapitan, Dipolog, Siquijor and Dumaguete. When we reviewed our total expenses, the total, including the air fare from/to Manila just costs under P10K. To find out how we did these, read on. Preparation: After our trip in CDO last October, we immediately planned our next destination. Japanesecake saw Dumaguete in LivingAsia channel and thought that it might be a good place to tour. Since Dipolog is just under Dumaguete, and since Dakak is i
