One of our destinations in Siquijor, was the hidden falls of Cambugahay, a few walks away from the main road. How to go to Cambugahay Siquijor We hired a tricycle driver for a packaged tour of Siquijor What to See Cambugahay is a good 10-20 minute trek from the main road. Home to many cold springs, Capilay spring park is one of the well-known cold spring slash park in Siquijor. How to go there Capilay Spring park was part of our tricycle tour in Siquijor. What to See The spring park is just a mini plaza, with a spring pool in the middle. There is a hill with a church situated on top of it located inside the park. I don't recommend this place to be visited, but if you have plenty of time for Siquijor, might as well drop by at this park. Fees and Fares

We spent the morning in Siquijor, taking pictures and messing around the billiards and gym rooms of Dondeezco. We almost lost our tripod bag that morning, but managed to find it in time before we get into the van headed to Siquijor pier.  Transport to pier is free courtesy of Dondeezco. We travelled back to Dumaguete on board Delta Fast Ferries leaving at 12:30pm. We bought the tickets the day before so as not to risk our schedule and itinerary. When we docked at Dumaguete pier, we asked our t

How to go to Siquijor Because of our mishap the day before, we were forced to tour Siquijor on day 4. We bought the earliest ferry (Super Shuttle Ferry) scheduled to depart at 5am. Tickets cost 350/pax and the ride was approximately 4 hours. I’d say this was a typical RORO because it has room for land vehicles. When we arrived in Dumaguete Pier, we bought ferry tickets bound to Siquijor. Delta Fast ferry is fully booked so we settled for a GL Shipping Lines Ferry. We recommend Delta Fa

One of our friend, (lets call her L)  'L's most hated part during our tours was riding ferries. She easily gets sick and dizzy with these rides. Unfortunately for her, our February trip was full of ferry rides. Ferries are the only transportation available for islands in the Philippines that aren't connected by bridges  yet. It's not always fun to ride Ferries, due to violent waves disturbing the seas at times. [caption id="" align="alignright" width="223" caption="Playing around

Last Feb 19-25, 2009, 3 friends and I toured Dapitan, Dipolog, Siquijor and Dumaguete. When we reviewed our total expenses, the total, including the air fare from/to Manila just costs under P10K. To find out how we did these, read on. Preparation: After our trip in CDO last October, we immediately planned our next destination. Japanesecake saw Dumaguete in LivingAsia channel and thought that it might be a good place to tour. Since Dipolog is just under Dumaguete, and since Dakak is i

Coming to Siquijor, some of my friend's family were a bit worried that we are going there. They were afraid because of Siquijor's reputation. In the Philippines, Siquijor is known for having mambabarangs, mangkukulam (witches) and aswangs(monsters) That connotation is really funny, because Siquijor is no scary place at all. It's one of the most beautiful places I've been into. Plus the people are really nice, and they didn't eat us! haha. One of the things we were warned was if some Siquij
