china-day2

We arrived early that morning, but our call time was still 7am. I volunteered to wake up first. Our room doesn’t have any towels, and since I’m the first one to get up, I went down to ask. Before doing so I checked my itouch translator application and learned that jin ma was the mandarin for towel. With that, I was able to survive my first mandarin communication-gap.hehe. As planned, we went to Shanghai Railway Station to look for tickets. Anton and I queued up in line, while Xty looked

Xty finalized our trip, checking the maps and taking notes while we were on board our MNL-PVG flight. The real adventure starts when we landed on Pudong International Airport in Shanghai at 1130 PM. Since our arrival was late, we are unable to take the metro, the Maglev train or the airport buses going to the city proper. It’s great that Xty can speak Chinese, she was able to ask where the buses were, and so, in the nick of time, we’re able to board the last bus, also called the midnight

Last November 2009, we were able to book a MNL-PVG flight for 4 for only P905/pax. Since then, I was so excited since climbing the Great Wall is one of my biggest dreams. I haven't realized how much this site has evolved from something that I'm just interested in, into an informative, very direct type of site. What I meant is, there's not much personal touch going on with this site of mine. As you can see, I rarely (not even) post pictures with me or my friends faces on it. I barely tell the 'experience' factor of all my travels. Instead I'm always thinking I'm a new visitor of the site, and I don't want to read about loads of crap how this person's trip went. I'

volets

After this school year, I promised my little sister that I take her swimming some time, and with that of course I have to bring the rest of the family. Good thing there's always the nearby town of Cavite that has "ok" resorts to pick from. This time we went to Volets resort which is just less than an hour drive from Manila. At a rate of 200 pesos per head (on weekends), this resort features numerous adult slides, the highest is three stories high. It was being fixed when we arrived, so we set
